Our 1st graders had a healthy dose of fun as they celebrated the end of their Human Body unit with a day full of hands-on learning! From making working lungs and fighting germs to creating body systems and playing Body BINGO, our little scientists were busy exploring how amazing the human body really is!
The excitement continued as we welcomed family members working in the medical field to share about their careers and experiences. What a wonderful way to bring learning to life!

🧦 YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF // A trip through the lunch line became an especially meaningful moment for one Shepherdstown student who was having a difficult time communicating. With kindness and patience, Shep Kitchen Manager Scott Stover helped the student feel comfortable, and by the end of the lunch line, the smiles were plentiful and the conversation was flowing. 💬
That moment is a perfect example of the care Scott brings to Shepherdstown every day. He takes the time to get to know students, share a laugh, and make sure they leave the line with more than just their lunch.
Thank you, Scott, for making our Wildcats feel seen, supported, and cared for each and every day. You knocked our socks off!

Today, our Shep students connected, collaborated, and learned together! Mrs. Locy & Miss Forry’s classes enjoyed CKLA readings and activities, while Mrs. Tamosaitis & Mrs. Goldsborough’s classes paired up to read to each other. ❤️
